Your Voice Is Needed On Sunnyvale's Proposal To Build Pedestrian/Bike Bridges on Borregas Avenue Between US 101 and Highway 237!

Robert Carvalho wrote the following report:

The city of Sunnyvale is collecting public input through March 1st on the project described below (Borregas Avenue is just east of Mathilda). These bridges will provide a significant improvement in safety and convenience for cyclists commuting to Moffett Field from the south. But they won't be built unless the city gets the message loud and clear that we want them! Please send a message of support (one or two sentences is fine; it's the number of responses that is most important) and encourage other cyclists to do the same. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Please cc me on your messages. Thank you very much for your help!

PUBLIC NOTICE
BORREGAS BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES OVER 101 AND 237

The City of Sunnyvale is considering a project to create a north/south bicycle corridor along Borregas Avenue. The construction of two bicycle and pedestrian bridges over highways US 101 and CA 237 would create a safe and direct route for bicyclists and pedestrians to travel from the residential areas in the south of Sunnyvale to the employment and recreation in north Sunnyvale.

The project is in the very early stages of development and the City is interested in hearing your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions. Please contact Dieckmann Wolfe, Transportation Planner at 408.730.2713 or email diwolfe@ci.sunnyvale.ca.us
