Bus Shelters
To find out whether a bus stop near you will be getting a new bus shelter soon, or to qualify a stop to receive a bus shelter, Mona Babauta, head of VTA's Bus Shelters program, at (408)321-5769.
It is to your advantage to have your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone who uses the bus stop you want a shelter for call the number above to lobby for a shelter. It also helps to have your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone who uses the bus stop to contact your VTA Board member representing your city as well.
PERSISTENCE IS THE KEY!
Customer Service ... and beyond
Sometimes, when Customer Service just isn't serving you in a timely manner, you will need to go higher up in the chain. This page will help you do just that.
First thing you need to do when you have a complaint about VTA service: contact Customer Service at (408)321-2300 (option 0, then option 3) or fill out the web form at VTA's website at www.vta.org. Make sure you take down the following information in case you need it later:
If you are still not getting anywhere with Customer Service, you should contact the manager of Customer Service, David J. Terrazas, at (408)952-4296. (Alternately, you can email david.terrazas@vta.org as well.) Make sure to document the incident in question as much as possible, per the steps above.
In addition, if you are having an issue with VTA equipment and/or operators, you should contact Frank T. Martin, the Director of Operations, at (408)321-7004 (or frank.martin@vta.org) At most, please use these gentlemen as second-level contacts when you can't get your VTA complaint resolved thru Customer Service, and all other resources have been exhausted. Or, you can use these contacts in addition to Customer Service if it works best for you.
